Welcome to my design portfolio! My name is Megan Black and I graduated from Washington State University in 2010. Currently, I am pursuing a position in graphic design and/or web design. Before I graduated, I worked at the Daily Evergreen as a graphic designer. I truly loved my job! After graduation, I moved to Tempe, AZ where I worked for Arizona State University and began a successful freelance career on the side. I am now living in Colorado Springs, CO and am furthering my freelance ventures.
I graduated with a unique major only offered at Washington State, called Digital Technology and Culture. It is an interdisciplinary major that combines critical thinking and creativity with a strong base in computing skills. In other words, I have been trained in design fundamentals, but I also have a backing in other disciplines, such as technical writing, rhetoric, and the effect of technology on society. This allows me see how our culture is increasingly influenced by technology, and then integrate that knowledge in my work.
I am currently looking for a graphic design, web design, or social media position. Although I am living in Colorado Springs, CO I am able to relocate if needed.
